Will here I go. I believe I have all the stuff I need to do this.
Ehiem 1262 - return pump
eliminator E107 - outlet
GFI outlet - for wall
Clamp Light - for fug.
75 watt bulbs - for fug.
300W heater - for fug.
ASM G2 skimmer
38 gal tank - for sump
a few other things I can't think of right now.
Been trying to cut all the pvc this evening and finish putting in eggcrate in sump. The sump will be skimmer/ return/refuge. The skimmer is 10 1/2" with 8" baffle, next baffle 14" high, 1" off bottom then 8" baffle, return pump space is 10" then a 14" baffle going to refuge. I had to put the sump behind my tank because the skimmer sits to high to access easily. I also built a waterproof tray for the tank and sump to sit in. I will trim that out later. The 1" supply from tank goes to PVC ball valve to a 1" coupling. Before it enters the skimmer compartment I have a PVC "t' connection to a line for easy water changes with ball valve and end cap. The 3/4" supply line to tank comes off the 1262 ehiem pump to a 3/4" coupling to a 3/4" ball valve. Then a "t" connection, 1 goes to refuge then the other goes to tank with a coupling and ball valve. So let me know what you think so far. Will try and add pics. Thanks to everyone who posts here, I have learned. alot.

300W heater - for fug.

If you have the chance, go with 2 smaller heaters instead of one big heater. Redundancy and less likely to cook the tank if one of them fails in the "on" position.

I also hope you have test kits, thermometer, refractometer, and powerheads...

Thanks for the advice on heaters. Yes I have all testing supplies and other things, already have a 29 gallon tank up and running. I plan on moving everything from that tank to the 75. I hope to use the old 29 gallon for a SP tank later. Question, I have 50 lbs. of LR and 15 lbs. tonga in the 29 gal. how much more do you think I need for the 75?

im tagen along. i love watching builds cuz it gave me ideas for the build i did for my 125, click red house to see (<-- cheep tread push) you may get some ideas from it.
when i had a 75rr i put in 90lbs of rock and it still looked empty, but if you arainge it right it will still look good. you can never have to much rock as long as you have good flow around it all.
