8" Clown Trigger

I have an 8" Clown Trigger that seams to have come down with something.. I have a Niger,Picasso and Blue Wrasse in the same tank and they are fine. I am wandering if it is sick or if it is going through a molt of some kind.
It has not eaten in 3 days and has gotten really dark. His eyes are cloudy and greyish and his tail has a really bright ring along the edge of it. I have treated the tank with Mela-fix. The other fish are fine and eating hardy, he just sit on the bottom and doesn't move. He will move to one spot and then not move for hours. it's like nothing I have ever seen.
I have tried to put everything possible in there to get his attention, Brine, flake, Plankton but he wont go after it.
If the flake floats close enough his mouth he sucks it in.he eats it but other than that "NOTHIN"
Anyone have a clue as to what is going on? I put in iodine and vitamin c every day and do my water changes.

He is almost 3 yrs old.
Any help would be welcome.

Why are you dosing with iodine? I think this might be a part of the problem. Post your water parameters, including salinity, pH, nitrates.
Fish don't molt and it sounds as though the trigger may be suffering from a bad bacterial infection. Do you have a quarantine tank you can use?

I am old skool when it comes to disease of fish I have my best results as fast as 24hrs Try 1 penny per 10 gallons of water the hard copper never enters the water solution but blows away the disease and when it's over you can take the pennies out or leave in filter-box forever. Cheapest medicine availible. I use it in my 150 with a mix of fish/snails/urchins and crabs the penny's don't bother the inverts because penny's are not in solution.

The first thing to try is a large water change using well aged and aerated saltwater. Do not dose the iodine and use some carbon to remove the melafix. The fish may be reacting to chemicals and or toxins in the water by hyper producing mucus. Do you have a quarantine tank?

I always wondered if pennies were a significant source of copper to relieve diseases. I guess I was right
