Whoo hoo!!!
New record for me
My ocellaris have been giving me clutches since this summer.. I decided to try and raise the fry, and spent much of the fall dealing with crash after crash of my rotifer cultures (some due to the learning curve, some due to bad phyto).. I learned the ropes, and finally managed to get and keep a stable rotifer culture going.
Most clutches I lost 100% by day 3 (food sources).. This clutch is on day 8, and I started with the BBS two days ago.. The little ones are noticeably larger now
I started with 300 or so, and granted, I am down to 30 now (heavy losses due to being overanxious and removing the side covers a day or two early, resulting it lethal side lighting), but the little guys seem to be doing awesome..
Little by little I refine my routine, and things are falling into place.. I can't wait for my pops to come to my place this weekend to see the new ones.. He's almost as thrilled as I am...
Fish breeding definately makes reefkeeping seem like keeping a goldfish tank..
Just had to share my excitement
