8 foot 180gal tank?

is a 8 foot tank pratical? 96x18x22, is there a benifit to it being 8foot rather than 6 feet? I only ask because I may buy one.

i dont really like the extra depth... one of the reasons i got a 125 instead of a 180, easier to aquascape IMO

more swimming room yes but it probably be the same price for a 96x24x24 240 gallon.... if not i would go 96x20x20

i agree w/ yoboy. If you can go bigger, you will not regret it. I bought my 180g for an in-wall setup, and I already wished I had gone bigger and I have'nt even set it up yet....
