This is a 800 gallon reef tank under construction. I'll be posting pictures throughout the process. Hopefully it'll be finished in couple of months time :D

The fish and the sea fans in the first pic were just there for couple of hours only until it's transferred to a holding system. Nothing is added yet apart from some sponges and dead shrimps for the cycle to start.

sweet where are you located at?

Is the system all natural light? What are you using for filtration? It looks like it's going to be a very nice system.

Cool. Details please.

I'm in Sri lanka. Yap all natural light. I have crushed corals in the sump below plus a refugium. Out side system is alright in my country cos temptrture is consistent throughout the year.

Btw guys do you think 2 VorTech MP60's are enough for this tank?

You also can try out the WP60. I have two of them on my 8' long tank. The wave it generates is unbelievable. By the way I also have two MP60. The MP60 has wider flow. The wp60 is also cheaper is about 1/7 of cost of a MP60.

Ordered 4 WP60's. Hopefully it'll be enough... :D

You will be surprised with the wp60s. I have 2 wp40s on a 7' tank and 1 would have been enough and a couple of power heads on steady. Great tank, good luck!

Are you going to use a skimmer? What return pump are you running? Where are your overflows? Or how does your water get down to the sump?

Currently running 2 15000lph return pumps. 4 over flows at the back of the tank running down to the sump below. Currently running 2 600 gallon rated skimmers (have to upgrade).
