84.5 and holding

Well my tank rose to 84.5 today so I kicked on the AC. How are all of your tanks handling the heat? If I can ever find a good deal on a return pump, I'm going to a basement sump! That should keep me in the 79-82 range without much trouble.

82.5 today with 2 ac units running

maxed at 82 today no ac running if i did have one in the room i would have 20+ amps running on a 15 amp breaker and old wiring

Ben it may be best just to shut your lights off and/or run a fan across your water surface, always works for me.

Local LFS tanks at 80 with chiller and AC, mine at 83 with AC and in basement, this heat wave is crazy - nice but crazy. Been a long time since my tanks hit that high. I cut two hours on my lights just to give the tank a break.

83.4 tonight with 2 ac units running and large fan blowing towards the tanks..

I will be removing the 2 175 w halides & 2 110w vhos from my 75 gal frag tank and replacing them with 4 t5s on tues. I will be running UV bulbs formaly URI 2 AW & 2 SA with icecap reflectors and a IC 660 ballast.
