is it possible yes...is it humane...no, pretty sure the recommended tank size for even the smaller species (A. Occelaris) is 20g tank, pretty sure they will all get far to large to be happy in a 8g tank..

The other issue you will have to worry about is them jumping out due to space. I had this issue a few yes back on an 8 gal rimless. No matter what I did how little the clown was if come home to him on the ground. So I gave up on having fish in it.
