I have had my display fallow for 9 weeks now while I have been treating my fish. I am wondering if its been long enough or not? My corals have been suffering from the lack of nutrients and I am tempted to add them early.
As long as the fish show no signs of disease and seem healthy imo 9 weeks is enough time.... how ever if you have a large fish load I would add them back a few at a time. starting with the smaller and most peaceful fish first.
The corals have been in the tank the whole time. And I get what you mean by saying whats another two weeks. But all the same if its not really needed I would rather not wait.
I am about to set up treatment for ich. I am going to leave the DT fallow for more than eight weeks if I can. My thought is that treating ich is really a hassle and I would hate to treat the fish and then find that the eight week fallow period was just a bit too short and then I have another ich problem. I left a 10 gal tank fallow for eight weeks, added two new fish and after about 3 weeks one of the fish died from ich.
