Hello all. I've kicked around the idea for a while and now the time has come. I am either moving away from saltwater and going freshwater, or getting rid of my tank altogether. I guess it just depends on how sweet any offers I get are. The only thing that has kept me from selling thus far have been my fish. I love them and I would be very particular about who bought them. But I am not able to take care of the tank like I used to, and it is showing.
I am never home anymore since I have changed positions at work. I realise now that my fish would be better with someone who has the time for them.
Anyway...
Right now I have a reef ready 90 gallon with stand, top. The tank currently has a mated pair of percula clowns, one pretty nice sized pacific blue tang, and a purple pseudochromis. I've had these fish for about 4 years now. The tang maybe only 2.5 years. Anyway, they are all healthy and eat like pigs. Other inhabitants are a bunch of long tentacle anemones that keep splitting ever so often...about 120ish lbs of live rock that is totally covered in coralline, lots of mushrooms, a frogspawn, a hammer coral, a plate coral, some other stuff I'm probably forgetting.
The hardware is:
2 250 watt halides with brand new bulbs (seriously, bulbs are less than 2 weeks old)
ASM protein skimmer
Tunze 6100 with single controller
30 gallon sump.
quite one return pump
white sand
Here is what it looked like when I first set it up a few years ago:

Now the tank has grown in more as far as coral goes, but I've let the algae get a little out of control on the glass since I have been gone so often and now my magnet scraper won't take it off. I think I'm going to have to use a razor blade. Anyway, most everything is pretty healthy aside from the glass just looking bad! There aren't any algae blooms or cyno on teh rocks or anything. The hammer coral is starting to suffer a little bit though.
I have no problem parting it out, but only in the proper order. I can't get rid of the lights or powerhead or any of the important hardware until the livestock is gone.
So if you want something, shoot me an offer. If you want the whole thing, shoot me an offer. For the fish I would prefer to only sell to members with established tanks.
Thanks everyone.
