90 gallon contents for sale...maybe tank too once everything is gone.

Hello all. I've kicked around the idea for a while and now the time has come. I am either moving away from saltwater and going freshwater, or getting rid of my tank altogether. I guess it just depends on how sweet any offers I get are. The only thing that has kept me from selling thus far have been my fish. I love them and I would be very particular about who bought them. But I am not able to take care of the tank like I used to, and it is showing. :( I am never home anymore since I have changed positions at work. I realise now that my fish would be better with someone who has the time for them.

Anyway...

Right now I have a reef ready 90 gallon with stand, top. The tank currently has a mated pair of percula clowns, one pretty nice sized pacific blue tang, and a purple pseudochromis. I've had these fish for about 4 years now. The tang maybe only 2.5 years. Anyway, they are all healthy and eat like pigs. Other inhabitants are a bunch of long tentacle anemones that keep splitting ever so often...about 120ish lbs of live rock that is totally covered in coralline, lots of mushrooms, a frogspawn, a hammer coral, a plate coral, some other stuff I'm probably forgetting.

The hardware is:
2 250 watt halides with brand new bulbs (seriously, bulbs are less than 2 weeks old)
ASM protein skimmer
Tunze 6100 with single controller
30 gallon sump.
quite one return pump
white sand

Here is what it looked like when I first set it up a few years ago:

Now the tank has grown in more as far as coral goes, but I've let the algae get a little out of control on the glass since I have been gone so often and now my magnet scraper won't take it off. I think I'm going to have to use a razor blade. Anyway, most everything is pretty healthy aside from the glass just looking bad! There aren't any algae blooms or cyno on teh rocks or anything. The hammer coral is starting to suffer a little bit though.

I have no problem parting it out, but only in the proper order. I can't get rid of the lights or powerhead or any of the important hardware until the livestock is gone.

So if you want something, shoot me an offer. If you want the whole thing, shoot me an offer. For the fish I would prefer to only sell to members with established tanks.

Thanks everyone.

How big is the tang, and how much do you want for him?

I would also be willing to take some of the corals off your hands, but I can't spend a ton.

What other kind of small equipment do you have? I think I see a Phosban reactor and similar things.

I live in Tuscaloosa, so I could come by soon.

I have a phosban reactor, asm protein skimmer, halides, tunze (may keep that, not sure), sump, lots of liverock, hard to remember everything while I'm at work. I'll take a look at everything when I get home tonight.

The tang is about 5 or 6" long now. I can double check exact size tonight. He eats like a pig and will just about eat out of my hand! He and the clowns are swarming soon as I drop the food in the tank. Sometimes I leave it in my fingers to see just how close they'll get. lol

how much for just the 2x250w halide bulbs? are the SE or DE? will you ship those? thanks

They are SE. Yes I can ship. The bulbs are brand new Coralvue 20k bulbs. I believe between bulbs, ballasts, reflectors, the whole shootin match, I paid around 370.00. Shoot me an offer but keep in mind I can't sell them till I've sold all the livestock.

have any pics of the LTA?

I can get some...there are a bunch of LTA's in there. Problem is they are also attached to rocks alongside mostly soft corals.

Sorry it has been months since I checked the site. Had a couple of pm's to respond to but everything is still for sale. Glad football season is over (at least for home games) so now I can breath a little. I'd like to sell this. Taking offers. I have decided I'd like to keep the clowns and set them up in something smaller, maybe a 20 or 30 gallon cube. Anyway, here is a list of some of the stuff. I can ship the smaller items.

Reef Ready 90 gallon Tank and stand: 290.00 obo
Dual 250W SE Electronic ballast halides: paid 370 new for everything, Asking 200.00 + shipping
G2 asm skimmer: paid 300.00 new + gate mod, Asking 170.00 + shipping
Tunze 6100 with controller: 175.00 + shipping
Sump: 15.00
Rock with no coral: 2.50 per pound
purple psuedochromis: 10.00
Tang: 50.00

Coral: some of the coral and anemones are attached to rocks and I don't know how or want to risk killing them by removing them. If you want that piece of coral you will have to buy the whole rock it comes on. 10 per medium or large anemone or 5.00 per small one + 2.50 per pound of rock it's attached to.

The other corals I'm not sure how much to ask for.

All of the livestock must be sold before the tank/tunze/lights/sump can go.

If you want to buy the whole thing I'll take 1000.00 for everything from top to bottom. There has to be over 100lbs of liverock, 100lbs of good live sand, several different types of corals from hairy mushrooms, regular mushrooms, trumpet coral, hammer and frogspawn, plate coral, a nice tang, pseudochromis, nice skimmer, 500w of lighting with good bulbs, nice reef ready tank and stand with sump, pump, all pvc and hardware to go along and a Tunze pump. Probably more I'm forgetting.

p.s. if you want to buy teh whole thing, I will throw in some rubbermaid tubs so you can transport the coral/rock and fish. I will also help you load everything into the tubs and help you carry it/load it onto your truck.

hey man, great looking set up, I am looking for a good set up but I only want the basics..are you still trying to sell the whole set up?

Yes the whole thing is for sale, or I will part it out. I need to have all the livestock sold before I can sell any of the major components like tank/lights/sump, etc.

I didn't see any RO/DI unit mentioned... you aren't trying to move one of those by chance are you?

I might be interested in driving down for some rock, once my schedule opens up a bit.

I'm keeping the RODI. I drink the RO water haha. There is a guy who says he wants to buy the whole 90 setup. Supposed to come get it tomorrow. I'll update tomorrow if anything changes.

Thanks,
Zach
