90 gallon filter?

I am not going to have the room for a sump. Can anyone recomend something canister or hang on?

what will you run in the filter, i have an ac 110 and i use it as a fuge . it was the best hang on filter i used while on a fw tank. i ran just carbon before i turned it into a fuge.

I am looking more towards a canister for a salt tank with some softies.

never did a canister filter. if you have about 1lb of lr to gallon of water and a good skimmer you really don't need a filter. i liked to run carbon just for water to be very clear.

You don't need a filter. Your live rock should provide all the biological filtration you need. You can always hang a Phosban Reactor on the tank to run carbon.

IMO... the canister filter will be more trouble than it's worth.

If you're targeting softies... you more than likely could get away without a skimmer as well.
