90 Gallon (many many pics)

I just thought I'd post up some pics of the 90 gallon that I've been working on (now my main tank). I have some little detail stuff to work on for getting it to where I want it to be...but don't we always. The main things I still need to work on are getting the closed loop up and running, putting together an eletrical panel for easy switching on and off of components and to get all of the wires up off of the floor, and making a cabinet for the newly installed osmolator.
Everything has been great with the tank so far. Some of my corals have really colored up already, particularly my purple cap, which has lost it's dull brown look and has turned entirely purple. I hope you enjoy.

Newly arrived sump and canopy (note: extremely large/fat cat is not part of the set-up)

Up and flowing (all it needed was a bit of paint and everything's like new)

Rock/Fish/Coral added and still waiting on new light so I can get the canopy up and running

New 4 bulb T5 TEK fixture mounted w/ 2 VHO's in the hood (very tight squeeze!!!)

Sump with Euro-Reef ES8-1 (dirty already :)) . Lights are 2 x 65W plant grow floodlights. I siliconed the entire inside of the stand to help catch any spills and/or at least slow down any leaks that might occur. I rent and definitely can't afford a tide pool in my living room.

Hood on and all fired up... I think it is fair to say that the T5's put off some light (confused the hell out of my camera)

Thanks for looking...

looking good. The cats not really fat. I think gary has the fattest cat ive seen in a long time. Its really cool though.

He's only not fat because we don't feed him much... he's gotta have the title of the laziest. He doesn't even drink standing up.

Man, that tank looks good with those lights! Still haven't set up
the 60gal. I got from you guys. I had a major flood in my bath.
The supply line to my sink came off and flooded my duct system.
So, no air cond. for six days. Tank temp got up to 90 degrees one
day! so, needless to say some of my corals are dying. Not much I
could do about it.

Brian,

Keep in mind that depending on what your corals were under before, you may want to acclimate them to the new light. I use layers of screen to acclimate things in my tank.

Jack

Jack, yes, I am acclimating. Instead of screen I have simply been slowly bringing up the amount of time that the lights stay on. So, when I started I only had the 2 daylight bulbs going for about an hour. As I've added to the amount of time they and the other lights have run, I've only noticed good effects. Because of that, I have been turning the time up a little more aggressively than I had planned, figuring I can always cut them back a little if I notice anything bad happening. Maybe not as good as the screen method, but it seems to be working.

looks great! I needed some shades for the pic with all the lights blasting!!. I wouldn't turn up the light cycle to aggressivly. My frogspawn almost withered and died on me just for dropping to 10 k from 14's. And I cut my photoperiod in half.

She's not fat, she's festively plump;). Funny thing is that we only feed them 3/4 a cup twice a day (for both cats-1.5 cup total). Miranda is in the 13-14 pound category. Nothing like the 30+ pound cat in Korea or wherever that moster was, but she's working on it... Dottie is a little slimmer, but still bigger than alot of cats I see. She is too much of a princess to lower herself to drinking water with her tongue. She uses her paw to soak up water and licks off her paw:D.
