Starting a 90 gallon reef. I've come to the realisation I'm going to have lots of questions along the way so I'm starting this thread for ideas, tips and to track progress along the way.

I'm up in the air on so many things, let's start with the skimmer.

What is the difference in these 2 skimmers?

Reef Octopus Classic 152-S

Reef Octopus Classic 150INT.

Is the $30 difference simply for the footprint convenience? Are there performance differences in the 2?

Is one of these good enough for my 90?

Thanks for any replies.

I've had the 150INT and it's a good skimmer. But it is a dated design. Doesn't mean it doesnt work but it seems the 152-s is more efficient. The pump is even smaller but the curved shape body helps with turbulence. Also, I don't recall the 150INT being able to dissassemble the body for cleaning. However, the base on the 152-s has thumb screws for removal. Cleaning would be easier for sure.

I decided and ordered the 152-S yesterday. I was sold at "easier to clean" lol. I had the 110-INT on my 75 and it was great, but never could get the neck clean. The footprint is also a little smaller to help provide more room in my sump for other equipment.

I'm looking at a sump from modular marine wanting the 34"x16"x13". Has anyone had any experience with these sumps?
