It has been some time since I posted any of my tanks, here is my 90 gallon SPS. Been a real test, but I am happy how it is turning out.

The SPS look great! I am just wondering why you have all those risers and everything still on frag plugs? Your corals look great I was just curious to way you don't choose to have them encrust on LR

mounting corals

mounting corals

I have my SPS mounted on disks for several reasons:

- to provide a flat surface for corals to encrust
- to place some corals higher for better viewing
- to easily re-aquascape as corals grow
- to easily remove corals that get too large (birdsnest, motipora, and pocillipora colonies already removed)
- and for easy removal of corals for tank maintenance & fragging

I'm sure there are more benefits

great looking tank!!
I run a photon 48 with two t5's on my 90 gal. What percentages are you running the reefbreeder at? Been trying to dial it in for a while now.
Thanks,
Vic

Thank you Vic!

- I removed all optics for a wider spread of light
- I replaced four whites on each side, eight total with blue (480nm) LEDs
- I run the photon for 12 hours a day, eight of which at 100% on both channels

I have mine the same way only I have 450's instead. I tried taking the optics off but it looked a little dim for me. How high do you have the fixtures? also how many t5's are you running? I have two, a coral plus and a blue plus.

- My lights are approx. seven inches off the water surface
- I'm running two 54 watt T5 bulbs also, coral plus and GE 6500K.
