What is the recommended amount of water I should change daily so I don't have to do one big water change?

It's honestly up to you.

I listen to Meleev's Reef a lot and he always states that anything that changes more than 20% monthly isn't necessary. That being said, many people find success with larger and more frequent water changes. There's numerous paths to success.

If you want to hit the 20%, .6 gallons / day would suffice in an automatic water changer.
