9010 bubble question

I have been tossing around the idea of doing a sumpless system and was deciding between this Tunze skimmer and a Deltec for in tank use.

Question would be how likely is it going to be that I have bubbles escape into the aquarium? This is not acceptable in any way whatsoever and I prefer to run the skimmer 24 hrs a day and don't want to turn it off during viewing time in the day.

Also between the Deltec MCE 500 and the 9010 what would you choose?

I had the Deltec MCE600 and could not, repeat, could not stop bubbles from entering the tank using their diffuser plate or any of the mods I found on this forum and/or built myself.

The skimmer pulled small amounts of very thick skimmate, but production was spotty and cleaning a chore. The bubbles resulted in so much salt creep, I finally gave up and sold it for the Tunze 9010 and have happily never looked back.

I have used the Tunze nano skimmer and it didn't have an issue with bubbles entering the aquarium so I wasn't sure about the larger versions.

Do you have pictures of the 9010 in your aquarium?

I would expect some bubbles to enter the aquarium from any in tank skimmer. The 9010 definitely does emit some bubbles, especially when new. Water chemistry plays a huge role in how many bubbles are emitted. If the water is already saturated with oxygen due to a lot of photosynthetic activity or if the KH is very high the bubbles will be worse.

My aquariums have always been o2 rich and my dkh is normally run at 10. In fact I run o3 from time to time so I would imagine my surface tension would be greater then average causing even more bubbles. I think I might have to put a sump on this aquarium to eliminate bubbles indeed.
