9010 skimmer inside clear pipe broken

Hi there

I have a Tunze 9010 and I recently took the skimmer apart and clean it. During the cleaning process, I accidentally want the the clear pipe inside the skimmer that drawn air out of the wall and it has a hole in it.

Can I put a putty and glue it back and cover the hole?

It doesn't necessarily need to be glued in, they glue them to reduce the possibility of noise from the silencer moving around and hitting the box but this is not common, so long as the hole is plugged you should be all set.
