how come i don't see any water come out from the outlet pipe with the bubble diffuser ? looks like it stay the same level with the water level, but some how it is still skimming good. anyone know why ?

i checked everything, and i don't see any leak, the only thing is the hole at the back to release the water pressure, and i tried to plug it in my finger, still nothing change.

Either the bottom cover is the wrong one or not on all the way or on backwards or the coupler between the pump and intake is missing.

The bottom cover should be the solid one with feet, it needs to be on all the way with the beveled edge facing forward.

i don't think i can put the bottom cover backward since i have to have the legs outside to hold the suction cups, and yah it's pretty solid and all the way in. i don't really understand about the "coupler between the pump and intake " , you talking the #8 part in the instruction book or something else ?

also how far should i push the elbow pipe in to the cover ?

also just wondering why it comes with only 2 sucktion cups ?

Is this going on your 200 gallon?
I'd like to see it when it's up and running.

yah it's going on my 200 gal, and i'm getting another one. i had 9020 but for some reason i like 2x 9010s better than 9020.

There are 4 suction cups, two loose in the box, two in the holder set. They are packed this way because the 9005 gets the same holder set but doesn't need the two extra as it does not have the bottom plate for in sump use.

The coupler is part 1 on page 32.
