hi,
would this skimmer do the trick for me for my 175g? i have fish, sps, lps and softies in there

I think you need a stronger skimmer, I would say 120 is the limit if any SPS will be present. Tell me more about what you intend to keep.

thanks, at the moment i have a few wrasse, a goby and a firefish in there...i'll stick to smaller fish...biggest fish will be a tomini tang

i have zoas, a hammer, a couple of sps... and chaeto and mangroves in the sump

It may work but honestly I think you would be better off with a bigger skimmer especially if your future plans include more SPS. I would consider a 9020 or a needlewheel type skimmer.

thanks im afraid the 9020 is a bit outside my budget or id go with that
