Was wondering about my flow so far I used the standard pool bulkhead anyone know the gph that is maximum allowed down the overflow box?
I am using 2-lift pump's that I can adjust I get a little confused about seahorse flow from what I have read and also I was hoping to keep yuma and zoo's happy along with the sea horses so far this is what I have
1-approx 450gph insump
1-approx 800plus gph insump lost the box and the pump label is faded too much
after all the elbow's and height etc I'm clueless to the total gph going down the overflow box when they are both open all the way it the almost flood's
both can be adjusted for flow
the 800plus gph pump is 3/4 the way shut has 4 output's 1/2" pipe approx 10" apart from left to right comming from the gravel 4" from the front of the tank going at a slight angle toward's the back of the tank and strieght up
the flow feel's gentle like a boxfish or mandarin could pass directly over and only raise up slightly before getting out of the way or regaining control does this sound right?
the 400gph for now has 2-1/2 pipe outtake's and is fully open but I'm thinking to "T" it off should I?
overall the flow seem's slightly good for zoo's/yuma just missing I believe 2 small pump's on the side's I believe would do the job really good and was wonder if I can use this fitting from hydor and another pump any pump suggestion for this fitting or GPH was hoping for something with good suction cup's around 150 to 200gph?
There is a hydor 1 pump behind the rockwork will this be ok or should I go with a nano hydor or 2-50gph pump's one on each side
was also wondering if drilling a hole in the top of the elbow with a pipe glued too it and letting more air in would increase slightly the gph going down the overflow?
