Nice tank, good work...
I'm glad you enjoy the updates.WOW! Its really come together nicely. Can't wait to see more.
I agree with the water being green. We are having discussions regarding this. The glass isn't the problem because the water is green even when I'm snorkelling. I am planning on a DIY skimmer that hopefully will help with the clarity. I am also planning on a turf scrubber. I don't think anything of these will happen until October though; I'll be travelling all of next month.im curious as to the quality of the water, i know in like humongo public aquariums its naturally hard to see the farther back you look but normally its blue. i would think you wouldnt have that bad of a problem (like a little bit of blurriness on the backwall) but the waters green and i can only see clearly halfway-ish through the tank. would a skimmer or massive turf scrubber help this or is it just a problem you would have to deal with? im starting to get used to the 2' deep tanks where you can see clearly but in reality its mroe like your tank lol.
Is that some type of bristle worm in the last photo. How big is that thing. Hard to tell with nothing to reference it against.
Great work. The lights make a huge difference.
I have my first addict?Always look forward to updates to this thread. I'm addicted to unique builds and it doesn't get much more different than this one. I'd love to see a night/mh video!
I have a bit of carbon (~40KG: 88 LBS) between the 1st and 2nd chamber in the refugium in bags. It helped a bit but I think it needs to be changed. I am currently in the process of changing it.Is there any way to run a carbon filter through that monster?
I don't want to add something I don't know much about. I've read about ozone reactor but it seems that doing my DIY skimmer is a simpler solutions right now (go figure). I am keeping UV and ozone in my mind though. What about an ozone reactor. I know when I worked at a public aquarium (many years ago), they relied heavily on ozone for water clarity. You could tell then the reactors were down...the water got cloudy.
Nahham what's the reason you're going to switch your bulbs to 20k?
You are welcome to pass by any time. The lights go off at 11ish pm though.Need to make a trip to see you soon.
Thanks. I consider myself to be very lucky to be able to say thatHow many of us can say "while snorkelling in the tank". GJ and rock on!

It is a huge worm stretching from one side of the tank to another. It is a beneficial worm though, it provides electricity to the props on the other side of the tank.
Just in case my sense of humour is too weird, it is the electrical cable of the props and even though I tried to hide it it still shows.
