A 725VA UPS will run a 6100 Stream for ??? Hrs

running wide open the 6100 draws 45W right? pretty close to the 50W in the first column...with the 725VA model it shows 1 hour 22 minutes. mind you that is a new battery unit and twice the draw you were asking about. with the power out (assuming lights out and photosensor kicking it down to lower power) you might be drawing the 50% you estimated. at 20-25W you might get close to 3 hours of runtime for 1x 6100 (@ 50%). but to be safe i prolly wouldn't expect more than 2 hours (with battery degradation).

Interestingly enough, I just had a chat with APC and they do NOT recommend their UPS for inductive loads (pumps). I couldn't get the representative to say what the failure mechanism would be, but their concern is with the in-rush current.
I just put a BR-900 on our ACIII control scheme to keep our return pump running with a power outage. Based on 170W, their chart says ~27 minutes, but that's solid state and not inductive. I may drop back to a smaller pump for power outages only and have it triggered by the ACIII.

The 6100's are controllable pumps, which means that they have an AC/DC adapter (the box before the pump), and will work fine on UPSs.
