At the beginning of February, I ordered a Midas Blenny along with a few types of snails. I chose the delivery date, picked my free tag along gift, and began anxiously awaiting my new creatures.
The following day, I had the first problem with my order. I forgot to request the Reef Central discount that was offered when I checked out. I sent a message and within a short period of time, I had a new invoice in my inbox with an adjusted total.
The night before my new livestock were due to be delivered, I received a phone call from Blue Zoo. They had been monitoring the temperatures and felt it would be too cold to ship the fish on the date I had requested. I didn't have the weather in front of me, but I knew the day was supposed to be fairly warm and said that. The person I spoke to (if I wasn't so senile, I'd remember the name), told me that they were concerned about the overnight temperatures, not the daytime temps, and they didn't feel like it would be best for the livestock to sit on a cold truck, even with heat packs.
Yey for them for putting the fish and snails first!!!
They continued to check the weather for a couple of days and then called me to see if the delivery date when the weather would be decent would work for me.
Yey for them for keeping an open line of communication! :bounce1:
I received my beautiful Midas blenny and snails on the scheduled date, and I was thrilled to see how well everything was packed. Seriously, I've ordered from Divers Den a few times and thought they couldn't be beat, but Blue Zoo had the darkened bags, heat packs, and an acclimation kit that included some medication, a drip line, and a sample of their food.
My fish and inverts all arrived very healthy, and I couldn't be happier with the purchase.
