a. carduus?

Just picked up a colony today, from what I have read from the little info I can find is that this is a deep water acro.

Anyone that has one, can you please assist in placement or is this like all others and more light and more flow is best?

That may be a deepwater, but I'm uncertain it is A. Carduus...

I keep my deepwaters out of direct light and heavy flow, though I know many people that blast their deepwaters with light to get them to color up a bit more after they are acclimated...

I also do not think you have an A. carduus, and agree that care should be taken not to over light deep water corals.

Hmm, that is what it was sold to me as. Before I use to just go by what appeals to me but today decided I need to read up on the many ropes of acro.

What do you think it is then?

I am not so sure it really is a deepwater sp. My guess would be Acropora cerealis http://coral.aims.gov.au/speciesPages/species_metadata/0016/view#
