Hello All,

Here are some new shots I took last night. I used a D800e, Nikkor 105mm f2.8 VR, Nikkor TC-20E III, RRS TVC-33s tripod & BH-55 ballhead with Versa 3 quick column. I had two flashes set up (SB-910 & SB-900) on pocket wizards with a pocketwizard and AC3 on the camera. Some are shot with the lights off and a UV flashlight.

Enjoy,
Scott

They are quite fun! I have the VR version, but when I am taking reef shots I use a tripod and shut the VR off. I don't think it's necessary unless you are planning on a lot of handheld bug photos, or really anything that moves around while you're shooting. The one I have also makes a nice portrait lens as well!

Thanks all! I have a new tank in the works and it's hopefully going to be very photogenic! I am going with starphire front and side panels to help out, plus will be building a top down rig for this tank specifically.

They are four 36" T5's overdriven on an Icecap 440 ballast. They have individual IC reflectors and are ~ 15" above the water. I run two KZ 10K and two Blues.

Thanks, that coral is always trying to eat something! You can see in the newer shots it's growing like mad. I will do some more UV shots in a week or two.

Cheers,
Scott
