A couple of new things today:

Well to get there by Thursday would have been 131$. So I went with ground was still 38$ seem kinda like a lot for a pump only a week old

Hopefully they will reimburse you. Eco tech is known for their customer service. I'm a little surprised they didn't email you a shipping label.
What did it do? Or not do?

Well ever since I got it it was way much louder then my other one I kept slightly moving left or right to try to make it stop. Then I killed the power strip to target feed today and went to restart no pumping just a loud noise coming from dry side. Took off wet side inspected it to see if something was blocked and nothing. I called them they did a number of things and had me switch the wet sides and the one not spinning worked on the other one.

I would just send it in a priority mail box, much cheaper and has a tracking number.....but yeah, you figured they would pay for return shipping since it failed almost out of the box.

I would have taken it back to the store and bought a different product. For $350 that think should be solid and flawless for the next 10 years. Definitely ask for your money for the shipping back.

When I called customer service I said why can't I take it back to the store. I had lost my receipt and called Steve at corner reef and he confirmed that's how you go about getting it fixed. He emailed the reciept so nothing against Steve or anything like that

They didn't communicate with you what was wrong?

I sent in 2 mp60's. They were working fine when I took them offline when I added the gyre's. After almost a year in a box I dusted them off and I couldn't get them running. They suggested I send them in.
I asked multiple time what the issue is and all I got was a very vague. "They both need new dry sides". No clue to the issue and if I wanted them replaced for a slight discount they would keep the non working dry sides. I even asked for them back just to play with them and was told it's part of the deal for discount for new ones.

Not very happy with that explaination and don't extend on purchasing them in the future. There service is good but at the cost of these pumps I would think they would give a little more than" they don't work"

As far as I know it could have been a 5 dollar bearing. He motors would start to turn and then red/green slashing and stall out.
Instead I spent 100 times that amount and would also charge me full retail to upgrade to quite drives

Got it back today no explanation and deff not a new one but am happy to have it back. Ended up doing almost a 30 gallon water change. 10 last night on the sand be. And about 18 today. With 15 coming all from the sump and I siphoned about 2 1/2 out of the over flow section cuz it seem like some funk was building up

I also added some LC to the rubble I took out and swished around nothing scientific but the water got extremely cloudy in the bucket

So it wasn't in like new condition like the one you sent in?

Yeah it was the same 1 week old pump wasn't a new one. Much quieter though same decibel as the original mp 40 I got two months ago
