A Few Coral IDs!

Hey, I have GSP in my tank, but a friend of mine gave me what he said was "xenia" but after it opening up, looks really identical to GSP. The only difference is that when it is closed, it is not purple bumps, its more of like tan and leather looking.

Ive been dying to know.

Second coral I need IDing is what I think is a Colt Coral, Not 100 percent though, I know you guys will know.

The top one is a type of star polyp and the second one does look like a colt coral that needs to open up.

top one is an encrusting Gorgonian. Can look exactly like GSP when open, but is completely smooth and brown when closed. GSP has bumps and has a purple mat.

Bottom one is a Kenya Tree (Capnella).

And is my Kenya not opened up like it should be? It's opened more since the picture but not much.

For what its worth, GSP is also an encrusting gorgonian. But no, they are not all that closely related to Xenia. They are both soft coral obviously, but in different Families.

The Capnella is not totally open, but its getting there. A few more days and it will probably pop up.

On the clam shell it is a yellow polyp. Very fast growers and they can pack a sting so keep them away from other corals.
