a few crappy iPhone pictures

I don't have a fancy camera anymore... sold my lenses for ammunition a while back. So instead, I have a P&S Canon and an iPhone. The iPhone takes better pics than the P&S Canon, go figure.

The brain I bought from fishaholic.... it's doing great in here!

A rock of palythoas... best I can figure is red people eaters, but they seem more purple than red.

My new arrow crab... here's hoping he snacks on some bristle worms to keep them in check!

My hammer coral... 13+ heads now. I'll be fragging it in a little while to make room. It's currently trying to sting everything it can reach.

My pair of B&W ocellaris and two colors of cap... the new lights aren't in yet so you can't tell the two apart. There's a green (in back) and an idaho grape in front. Currently they're both mostly brown.

FTS. Note the beautiful tupperware coral. I'm trying to get an incredibly stubborn ricordia to attach itself to a rock.

All these being posted, I have a request.

I have a lot of the brown, red and purple in this tank. I really want some yellows and blues in here. Anyone have anything nice to trade for my big rock of palys with those colors? Best I can tell is 35+ polyps. There are a few bristles living in the rock, so be aware of that. I've never seen any other sort of nasty in my tank but as always, take your own precautions.

I'm not a huge fan of the super-neon greens, but I've got some light blue/teal candycanes that I like a LOT. and I have NO yellow, but have seen Zoos that I like with yellow... never seen anything else with yellow though.

There are not that many common yellow corals that come to mind besides your normal yellow polyps and a yellow figi leather. The figi's are touch and go.....the yellow polyps are like GSP, if you do not be careful they will take over your tank.

You are going to have a harder time finding blue coral... a clam and tubes blue zoos.

I would suggest a orange cap, orange fungia, red brain, RBTA if you want a common but yet stunning coral.

put a magnifying glass in front of the iphone lense for pics that are 7" or less away from the glass... they turn out great:thumbsup:

Forgot to mention that your tank is looking nice.Is that the green leather behind your cap? You need to move that stunner to the front so we can see it.

yeah, the leather is visible from a higher angle... it's in the back for now since thats where the lights are, I may end up rearranging when the next two go in. Still looking great! The two best looking pieces I have came from your tanks!

You could go with a yellow scroll coral (aka cup coral or Turbinaria). I have a small one that is basically kind of a milk chocolate brown but has bright yellow polyps. It makes a pretty shape too.

When you get ready to frag your hammer let me know. I have some pink tipped frogspawn I would be willing to trade strait across.

Forrest,
Your tank is looking really good. I also like the way you aquascaped it, nice caves and such. Good looking corals.

Thanks Mike!

I went and took a few magnifying glass pictures that i'll post here... unfortunately walmart only sold a 2x/4x glass... I'm looking for a larger magnification now.

Here's a few that I got! Certainly an improvement!

I think these are "dragon eyes"... not sure

My red lobo brain... it's got a dark green iridescent hue that's very hard to photograph:

A better picture of my arrow crab. I think they look like they're from a Tim Burton movie, so I've named him Tim.

These were sold to me as "teal rings"
