A Few ORA Pics

Third one I believe is Chips Acro.

I got it from a frag swap close to Columbus, OH. The vendor told me it was an ORA piece. Its colored up very nicely, and lately has been growing very well. The blue color exploded once I started dosing MB7.

I was thinking that third one was "Joe the Coral"? They sure do look nice.

I'm don't think its Joe the Coral, but not 100% sure. I was wanting a Joe the Coral. I have some ORA pieces reserved at the Cincinnati frag swap in two weeks. ORA Miami Orchard, Hawkins, FrogSkin, and Pearlberry. I have the Hawkins and PB already, but I couldn't pass up for $20.

I just got new lights for my frag tank, but the bulbs didn't make it. UPS Error at Hub it said :( Rescheduled for Monday. Can't wait to see how some of these grow under the t5s compared to my DT with halides.

took me about 6-7 weeks to see results from the vodka. Ive been dosing it now for about 4-5 months or so and i couldnt be happier. My tank is CRYSTAL clear and both phosphates and nitrates are at 0. I do add amino acids 2-3 times a week now and my ORA borealis is now a weird light lime green color but thats the only coral that has reacted weird so far.Heres a pic from when i first got my red planet its my new favorite coral wish i had a better pic !I love the fluffly red polyps on yours as well!!

Looks nice. I do like the lighter color of the Red Planets. Almost lime/strawberry color :)

Yea i like your and my red planet. I see some that have no green what so ever and i think the green and red together make it so much nicer IMO. Third one looks like chips to me but would need a bigger further shot to tell for sure. Funny you say this cause my borealis is growing very slow to. It is healthy as can be and PE is Amazing on it. I fragged off one of the tips to see if it would mabe grow faster in that spot and it seemed to work. It began to grow polyps withing 3-4 days on the spot i broke off and then began to branch off withing 2 weeks. Im thinking of doing this to the remaining tips and see if i can get it to start taking off. Mabe you should try just breaking off one tip and see if it helps. Then just take the fragged piece and put it on the rock next to the original piece.

Thanks for the advice. I will def try that on the borealis and see if it motivates it to grow. In the past 5 months, its only grown a base around it about the size of a dime. I was also looking at pics I took of it when I first got it, and it doesn't look like its grown hardly at all. Mine has great PE and color, just no growth :(

my red planet frag doesn't look nice like that.

very beautiful

Look at yours from the top, see if you get that color through a lookdown box or something. Mine doesn't look very green from the side, only a little. But from the top, it amazes me :spin2:
