Can the Profilux stand alone doser be used thru the Profilux controller? I am considering switching to balling method and would like to use this doser , only thing is I am currently using a AQ3 for my tank controller , but am also considering to switch to the new Profilux 3 sometime in the near future , and would like to be able to use it with my dosing unit if i choose to go this route.

I would imagine it is a little nicer to control thru the computer as far as ease of setup all on one screen.

Also doe the seperate display module need to be wired in ? I would like to be able to have this displayed on the outside of my fishroom on the wall. Is there a certain distance it can go from the main unit?

Thanks

The Stand alone doser can not be used with the Profilux 2 or 3 controller. BUT there is a slave doser unit that can be plugged in.

Thanks Josh , I did know there was one , but I was hoping the stand alone could be as well, It would be a nice option for people who do not own a profilux at this time but may be considering one sometime in the future. Oh well , guess I may need to decide soon...

Wondering how many people have switched from AQ3 or similar to the Profilux, and what they have found for the pros and cons since switching over .

TIA

We have quite a growing list of users swuitching to GHl profiLux at the moment, I think the biggest draw is with what comes built in as standard without the need for external expansion boxes etc.

The ProfiLux 3 also has beome quite an attraction with its massive array of features, coulpled with GHL's outstanding reliability factor.

Is there anything I give up from switching over ? All email alerts, online access to controls, extensive programing ability... seems to be there am I missing anything.

How is the programming language in comparison?

Is the outside display module hardwired ? if not how far from the main unit can it be?

Do you have any full package pricing for new units with all the bells and whistles ?

Thanks for help

With the P3 you are not giving anything up, all what you metion the P3 has the capability of and more.

The programming language - well this is where GHL wins hands down, there is no programming language it is all intuitive screens, select the fuunction you want and press save, so simple.

Yes the oustide diaplay is hardired via RS232 and can be up to 20 meters

All bells and whistles can be found here, some awsome packs

do you need to purchase the SMS unit to get texts and emails , or is this only for power outages?

If so , can you run your controller off a battery back up instead?

to run your tunzes , do you just need to purchase the cables for them?

Is the a water leak detection add on ?

Can you control vortecs?

I appreciate all the effort , just want to make sure on some things .

Thanks.

Hi

email is built into the software. As for SMS this is a seperate module that has a built in GSM device which works 100% seperate from the controller in case of power outage.

You can control up to 16 unze pumps with the profiLux 3 version and all you need is the Tunze cable from GHL.

Yes leak detection and auto top off, and auto water change are all built in features

Vortech control is being developed right now

Hope that helps
