how is your growth with the 14k phoenix? have you tried any other bulbs, if so what are your impressions?

Very nice, intrested to see how the 180 turns out for you!

Thanks! I wish I could pick my tank up already .....


As far as growth it is great right up to 9 months after that corals take a hit unless bulbs are changed . Mine took a hit and are just recovering with new bulbs.

I have tried other bulbs such as ab 10k ab 20k coralvue and ushio.

Although I have only run phx while I have had great luck with sps all other times with other bulbs I was still polishing my skills .
 
so you think at the 9 month mark the bulbs need to be replaced for optimal growth/color?

Stopped by again today, as always - pix do not do the tank justice. I got some shots of this coral with my camera but I have to wait to download them. It is a one of a kind as far as I have seen, I've seen yellow torts but this one is incredible.

I can't wait to see your 180 complete. I still say go wider. :lol:
