A (finally) last question about lighting chanels

Hi again

After i have sorted the troubles with how to connect dosing pumps and digital sockets, I solved the problems with level sensor.

The last (I HOPE) problem with my Profilux 3 connections is the following and its about lighting

My lighting device (LiTeCo, Germany), is a 4x T5 (Dimmable) + 2x MH + a 2 channels Moonlight LED bar (Dimmable).

What I want now: I want to be able to use the following separately:

  • 2 x T5
  • 2 x T5
  • 2 x MH
  • 1 x Channel Moonlight
  • 1 x Channel Moonlight

From the lighting device leaves 2 cables (see the first and second photo). 1 for DALI socket and 1 for L1L2 socket

From moonlight bar leaves a cable, going to L3L4 socket.

Using these connections, I can control:

  • Via Illumination 1 Channel: 2 x MH
  • Via Illumination 2 Channel: Nothing but I can hear a click of a relay to open or close
  • Via Illumination 3 Channel: 2 x T5 + Red LEDS of the moonlight bar
  • Via Illumination 4 Channel: 2 x T5 + Blue+White LEDS of the moonlight bar

As you can imagine it is not acceptable, because the 4xT5 are still lighting in the evening.

If I connect the cable of the moonlight bar on L1L2 socket, and the cable of the lighting device on L3L4, I have a more acceptable result:

  • Via Illumination 1 Channel: Red LEDS of the moonlight bar
  • Via Illumination 2 Channel: White LEDS of the moonlight bar
  • Via Illumination 3 Channel: 2 x MH + 2 x T5
  • Via Illumination 4 Channel: 2 x T5

This is the configuration that I use at the moment, but it is still problematic, because I cannot have 4 x T5 lighting, without MH strong light (Early morning, or Late evening).

Is there any suggestion? Photos are following

I think you have the T5 set up a if it will respond through L ports, this is not the case unless dimmable, instead plug the T5 power cords into a power bar socket and set that powerbar socket to the corresponding illumination channel

If they are dimmable then thats a different story.

so set the channels for the T5 to L1L2 use illumination 1 and 2 for ease of correspondance

set illumination 1 and 2 to dimmable

set your dimming curve as you so choose.

Your T5's will now dim unless your wiring is not correct.

As I wrote above if I plug the cable to L1L2 socket, or to L3L4 socket, the T5, are controlled by Illumination 3 and Illumination 4 channel. The second photo shows the cable that starts from the lighting device

you can program the L ports to react to any illumination channel you so chose.

go back to basics - unplug everything and just get the T5's working as you wish, I do not know the wiring schematic I assume the 4 T5's dim all as one on one channel? if not and are split on two pairs this is simple also.

I assume the power for the T5 are on independant wall socket?

plug the T5's into L1L2

set up L1 as illumination 1 (its default anyway) go to illumination 1 and set to dimmable then set you dimming curves. It can not fail to work unless there is a third party wiring issue.

You are clear... again...

Many many many many thanks

I use the profilux for 5 months and now I will have what i paid for... because of you sir.
