a good air pump to raise pH vis skimmer?

I couldn't find any earlier thread explaining what you want to accomplish, so I can't answer your question.

Kevin

I see that I totally lacked any needed info at all! . I need a strong enough pump to supply air from about 10 feet away from my patio to my protein skimmer to try to ventilate my skimmer to raise my pH some. My pump now I'm realizing just doesnt have the power to get enough air to matter to the skimmer.

TY!

Ah I see, what kind of skimmer? Force feeding a Venturi skimmer doesn't work well. You may be better served by a co2 scrubber

It's a reef octopus 2000. The silencer has two air ports in it. I'm already feeding one with the low flow air pump. any extra pressure just flows right out the other hole.. Or in if the venturi needs more air

CO2 scrubber keeping it filled is just too much money fi I can achieve similar (I know not the same) as the air pump. I know it works to some extent as I have a bump in pH from the low flow one I have now.

What is your current ph?

It was supposedly 7.63 last night about 1 am (I was up late lol). Lights out at 11 pm on tank. It peaks at 7.78. I did just reclaib it last night before the reading. THough I realize I may need to use fresher calibration fluid -- my ph liquid test (which is also old, but I trust it more somehow) has it about 0.15 higher, not a huge difference, but more acceptable. I'll get fresh reagent on that as well. I'd still liek to get day time at 8.1 ++ peak.

I'm quite sure even with my 'ventialtion' I sitll have high CO2 in my little apt.

Have you tried just running a line from the skimmer to outside? You might be able to forgo to pump. Just run some tubing to a window before you do something more permanent.
