A good fish store in tampa area?

So many nice establishments to choose from.

We have it too good, we are very spoiled compared to the rest of the country.

This is the truth! I moved down from Grand Rapids MI. I had to drive well over an hour to get to a shop that is the same quality as FAIOS (It was called Pruess Pets in Lansing MI). Within 30 minutes of my place now I can get to 3 very nice LFSs (FAIOS being my first choice).

just my two pennies worth :)

Looks like I'm in the same boat as the original post. Coming from Orlando. Which honestly makes me spoiled when it comes to Local fish stores. From Top shelf aquatics, Living reef, world wide corals, Ocean blue, sea in the city, oceans direct, etc... They all fight to find and stock the best corals and fish. My main interest is in acros. Which Tampa store would you say has the best selection?

Thanks

So far I've hit a few stores. Coral corral looks good and so does Creative aquarium. I went a couple times to FAIOS a year ago because I heard a lot about the store. Friendly staff and lots of dry goods but what I'm mainly looking for is coral. Which seemed to fall short. But that was last year and since you guys give them lots of praise I'll give them anther shot this weekend. I'll also try marine warehouse since it seems to be close by. I've been in the hobby since 98. So it's gotta be new types of coral. If anyone else has suggestions please post. Thanks

Gotta check out other reefers tanks for different types of corals, all the nice "different" corals get snatched up too quickly from LFS

FAOIS had some great zoa frags this week scored an utter chaos, la lakers and a candy apple red. Nice striped mushroom too.

Wow not trying to flame here but he is one of the prices places for fish in the tampabay area. He usually a good $10 or more on almost any fish than say coral coral, creative or Marine Wharehouse not sure about his daily deals but on some of the higher end fish he in my opinion is out there. There coral though is pretty good deal and they are willing to frag some of there big stuff which is pretty awesome.

Were is that

Also the new place on 66th A tropical seems not to bad price is kind of middle range.

FISH2O is in Lakeland

I thought so, the fish I bought were very healthy

That's because John the owner QT's ALL fish that come in before he will sell them.his prices may be a little higher but you will ALWAYS get a health/quality fish.plus his knowledge of fish and corals is second to none in the Tampa bay area.
