okay heres my setup, i have two lights
one 420 actinic coral sun light
and one 10,000k coral sun light
then i have a little flow going from my powerhead 402
i was wondering if there any if at all any coral that can be kept with this minimium requirements i have. oh and this is a 29 gallon tank.

montipora capricornis, nice coral, hard coral, will live and grow with actinics, just dont let anything set on it, like sand and such, good luck

mushrooms, zooanthinds, zenia, frogspawn, colts, torch corals, star polyps, pipe organs tongue coral, there are alot that can live and grow under power compacts.

Do you know the wattage of both bulbs? Im assuming they are both 96w. Pretty much any soft coral could live under those. I wouldnt start out with a SPS coral (montipora). Start off with some easy polyps or a LPS of the sort.

There has to be a wattage listed on the box somewhere. All bulb and fixture packages list the size and wattage. Look around Im sure you will find it. What is the fixture called?

Caulestra [candy cane] is a good stony that is fast growing, forgiving, doesn't bother its neighbors, and is tough.

found it, the atnic is 17 watts, and the 10000k is 18 watts.
the brand is ocean sun and coral sun. they are both 24"

With approximately 40 watts in total for a 29 gallon tank, I would highly recommend not getting any LPS. LPS need approximately 3-6 watts/gallon. Stick to the mushrooms and polyps.

Well, If you keep the corals near the surface, you could probably keep some LPS, but I wouldnt try SPS at all. I am keeping a montipora digitata under 110 watts of PC in a 40 breeder, but it is about 6 in. below the light, and I am getting pretty good growth. Since light intensity decreases the farther down in the tank, if you put higher light demanding corals higher up in the tank, you can keep more. JMO

well i for sure staying away from hard corals, i was mostly go for simple coral like mushrooms and ployps anyways if i want anything better i'll upgrade the lights that is if i can find a way to make money :P

i have a red monty cap under 150 watts of cf in a 20 long maybe 3-5 inches under the lights. watts per gallon is totally useless if it were true i could grow sps with a 100 watt incandesent bulb in a 10 gallon tank that would be 10 watts a gallon.
