A good read

For those who were at last months MARS meeting, here is a good opportunity to apply that knowledge you learned.

I find this topic, the biology and physics surrounding it very interesting.

A prime example of why I like SPS, it pushes the hobby and our understanding.

Within the second, there is a paragraph on temperature, which I found interesting. I have heard a lot about corals being able to tolerate higher temps and people recommending running them even in the 82 degree water temp range. This article is stating that some of the clades found within the monitpora specie, do not tolerate well above 80 degrees.

This is starting to line up with what I have been thinking for a while that because our SPS, come from different depths, temps, and flows, in the end ALL the pieces in ones tank may not be thier optimum coloration at any one time, and we may have to "live" with less than "optimal" or hopefully have tanks with different flow, light, and temp areas to accomdate all.

Another reason why bigger tanks are probably better and easier to achieve better results overall.

These articles really get me thinking.:reading:
