Problem with Plotosus coral catfish is that they are highly venomous. Engineers are relative loners once they get bigger (and they get LARGE).

i just thought of a few more fishes, this may sound weird but maybe a school of sialfin mollies or some monos?

I would go with either the chromis or anthias. For the chromis pick at least 6 fish or more and start off with them all the same size. They will develop a pecking order as stated above and the smaller ones will die if there is only one or two small ones. For anthias buy all females and let one mature in the male and for anthais you need a tank larger than 150 gallons.
