A link to my 180 tank build.

I was trying to post last night but got puter locked and lost my thread. That's a nice looking tank breadman! I especially like the blue wall. should bring out the tank colors pretty nice. what's wrong with the flow in the fuge? isnt it a full flow return from the tank through the fuge and then to the skimmer and sump? I guess that would be the best thing. let the macro get first crack at waste, then the skimmer.

Thanks kaptken the wall is actually a light blue and I painted the back of the tank a very dark blue.. but in that picture for some reason it looks the same color lol...

The problem is my pump is pulling water out of my sump, as of right now i have 80% of the drain going back into the sump (where the skimmer is) and 20% of the drain going into the fuge..

I have to do this because if i put all 100% or anymore then there is right now the the water will build up and eventually over flow the fuge because the water cant get into the fuge fast enough to keep the water level balanced

I kinda figured that. so it's working as a kidney filter set up on the side. you could raise the fuge about a foot and put in a 4 inch drain line through the side to drain down into the sump tank. Im not sure but i think Russ did something like that in his final set up. check his photos.

Thanks! The tank has already cycled and the clean up crew will be here any minute now... Ordered a nice amount of snails from Dr. Macs... No hermits im going to try and go all snails.. but i do plan on getting some emerald crabs when i can find some good sized ones.
