Yeah good job! :)

What is going to be the procedure for checking these books out again? I know there was a thread a while ago but I can't seem to find it...

^ THANKS FOR THE LINK!! We actually have all but 1 of those books LOL!! I just did an ebay for 20 books including some really good ones! 7 of the 20 books sell for over $50 and I bought the whole lot for $75!!!!!!! SCREAMING DEAL!! They should be here next week. (Those are the last few on the list)

Here is the procedure for checking out books.

1. The books will be available at every monthly meeting for check out.

2. The first time you check out a book you will need to sign a contract. The contract states that:
I. if you loose the book or ruin it then you are liable for the cost of the book. Some of these are signed copies so PLEASE everyone do your best to take good care of these!!
II. You will be able to keep the book for a 1 month time frame and books must be returned at the NEXT MEETING. If the books are not returned at the following meeting you will only have 1 additional month to get the books back to the club or you will be liable for the cost of the book.

Everyone who wants to check out books will have to sign this contract, sorry no exceptions. It will also have your name screen name phone number and address on it. (No one will have that information but myself) We have over $1000.00 in books here so we need to make sure we have it covered in the event that something happens.

I have a list of all the books, with the replacement cost and its also labeled inside the cover. Anyone at any time can read or go through the books while at the FRAG meetings.

At the Fenner meeting I am holding a "Library Raffle" This will be a 10 gallon tank FULL of all sorts of reef related stuff. Some of it is dry goods, foods, magazines, testing supplies, dosing supplies, T-Shirts, fun decor for your home (reef related of course) and LOTS of other stuff! Its already at $100 and I estimate it to be a grand prize well over $200 when all is said and done. I am not sure on ticket prices and I will decide that once I get the tank filled up. 100% of the ticket sales will go towards buying new books for the club. Its a GREAT way to get our hands on some nice books like the Veron set!!!

We need another sticky on this forum like we need more traffic on the highway, BUT maybe the book list and the FAQ about the library could be a post added to the existing FRAG FAQ sticky thread.

On the topic of sticky abundance, perhaps the nametag info could now also be moved to a post under the FRAG FAQ area as well? It would sure clean up the top of this forum a bit.

Yes I did get all the old DMS books. They are included. Some are REALLY old, but its still fun to thumb through them.

Tiff I thought the same thing, we ave SOOO many stickies lol. I might do that anyways but I am trying to figure out a way to have a chart, maybe PDF or Excell that shows a pic of the book cover, the name, author etc. I will figure it out. All I know is I have these books lined up on my fireplace mantel and its a LOT of books!

I will work on consolidating the top of the forum a bit.
