A little help here please! 2 Questions....

Hi and thanks for the help in advance...My first question is I am not 100% sure what I have here...I've had it for more than 2 years (Has to be some kind of leather right?) Second, it finally tore so I rubber banded it to a rock. (That is my second question...will this piece take to the rock or should I have done the frag a different way?

Thank you for the reply! I was able to pick it up cheap and almost did not do anything with the piece that broke off so I appreciate your response.
My second question was did I frag it correctly? Should I have put rubber bands around the rock and the frag or was there another way I should have done it?

I don't believe there is a wrong way to frag it. It will all start plating once it gets its base established.
