A little upset, my shipment was nuked.

Just thought I would share/vent. I placed a decent size order with a coral shop. He decided he would unload all his old stock on my, whatever he could fit in the box, So I obliged. Shipment left monday at 7pm. Was guaranteed to be at my door 1030am tuesday morning. Well, that was until FedEx completely lost the shipment, for an entire day. Me and the seller spent most of tuesday on the phone with fedex getting the run around. No one had answers, no one cared. So this morning 10am I finally get the package. The box is soaked and battered and smells like the fish docks. I'm almost positive everything is nuked. 21 corals that were shipped total. The mushrooms and zoas look like the will make it but all the SPS just looks like it will never ever make it back. I don't blame the seller at all. The first package I received from him was perfect. Some of the SPS lost a tad bit of color but I expected that during shipping. FedEx had no clue where the package was, so I can only assume it sat on the runway for a good long while. The ice packs were completely melted. it was 80F inside the cooler when it finally got to me. Thank god for insurance.

I've had problems with FedEx in the past and will never use them again, nor buy from anyone that only uses them.

FedEx is a joke imo. They are literally the only shipping company I've ever had issues with. I hope everything makes a recovery.

Good luck with the insurance claim. FedEx has a long history of denying coral/fish claims unless the shipment was initiated through its live animal service desk.

This pretty much being my first live shipment order I wasn't aware of the issues with fedex. The seller has been working non stop to get this issue resolved. I will pass on the experiences you guys have shared and hopefully he will change his shipping courier

I have had problems with fed ex myself. Good luck getting them to repay you. They lost a shipment of mine and they denied ever having it and i had all the paperwork to go with it. I decided to take the loss and give up. Probably what they were hoping for, but not worth my time trying to pursue the matter after spending the better part of 2 days getting the run around. No one there has a clue what the other is doing.

I have never had any problems with using fedex for live orders. I know it's usually cheaper if you have the items shipped directly to a fedex location and pick it up directly.

When I ordered fish from Pacific Island Aquatics, UPS delivered them personally in a little mini van early AM. They pay attention to the boxes marked "Live"

If avail ,I try to stick to Delta Dash or pickup at the terminal...It saves them from bouncing around a truck...Good luck

I've had no issues with my orders being shipped via fedex, chances are the person that sent the package was the one causing the issues but that's only my assumption.

No, fedex literally lost the package at the shipping airport. For an entire 24hrs. Tracking number has it leaving the store, getting checked in at the airport, then after no updates for a few hours the seller started calling and then I started calling when he said there was a delay. Talking to 10 different fedex reps, no one had a clue where it was

Yes. Left the store at 6:54pm cst 6/16 was guaranteed by 10:30am est 6/17. Package did not arrive to the hub until 9:50am est 6/18

I just had an issue with a fed ex shipment today. They are hit and miss. All the guy could keep saying was delivered to my house. Drove around the subdivision to find out it was dropped off two blocks away at someone else's house.
