Hello,

i have 100 liter aquarium, and now it is full of Aptasia
i tried a lot of solution but it did not work,

now i removed all corals and fish to a new aquarium with no rocks
and boiled/dry all my rocks and i will start again

the problem is that all corals and clams have Aptasia on it

how to get rid of it (i dont want to loose them as they are in the aquarium for years)

put the shrimp or filefish into the tank with the coral and clams, and just let them work for a living, while you cycle a tank using your rock and sand. By the time the tank is ready for inhabitants, the shrimp/filefish should have eaten the aiptasia, and they can go into the new set up to take care of any that may have survived.

Berghia Nudibranch, IMO would be the best solution in a reef tank. IME, you have to be real careful to not get the Aiptasia X on no corals. I did that one time and it burnt my coral. Never used it again. Then I tried the peppermint shrimp route and it worked but it came with a price. Once the aiptastia was gone, they started going after my corals, acans, ducans, hammers, torches, and blasto. So I have found the nudibranchs to be the best bet, but once all gone, they can die also.

Peppermint shrimp look at lps like they are caviar. Acans, blastros, and hammer/frogspawn went first.

2 x Peppermint shrimps will take care all of your Aiptasia in no time. They are run $7.00 each in my LFS. I have 2 in my 180G, and they don't touch any of my LPS or SPS

I didn't buy him for it, but my Copper Band has taken care of the Aptasia in my tank. It's been a month now since the CBB has been in the DT and I don't see much Aptasia anymore, the ones I do see are big and I believe once they reach a certain size the CBB won't eat them. I don't see the small Aptasia like before I had the CBB.
I look for Aptasia when I'm doing the wc, last weekend all I could find is one big one. Before the CBB I would spend a lot more time trying to knock them back with Aptasia-X.
