a lot of aiptasia in my aquarium

Jury still seems to be out on whether peppermints will or won't eat corals. I just got rid of 2 because they were crawling all over my LPS, ****ing them off. They weren't eating them though. Worst case, you get unlucky and they do eat corals and you pull them. It's not that hard to catch them. Easier than a fish in my experience.
You can also use kalk just like aiptasia X. It's worked well for me in the past.

Aiptasia eating nudies cured my 180 from thousands of them. Took about 3-4 months to reproduce upto the numbers needed to eat them all but it worked!!! Haven't seen one in 6 months! They are pricy but worth it.

I have 3 tanks ,Refugium Tanks all connected to a central sump in my basement..

I had a Aiptasia outbreak.. I mean like 3 weeks all tanks over ran.. I bought 10 peppermint shrimp a file fish and a Copper Band Butterfly....

So
i put CBB in the 240 gal display
File fish in the Coral grow out tank.
4 shrimp in the fuge
4 shrimp in 70 gallon tank
2 shrimp in my sump where my DSB resided 5 1 gallon buckets of sand..

Its now about 2 months later and NOT One aptasia except in the exterior over flow box and a few in my skimmer chamber in the sump where the shrimp cant get to..

I say all 3 methods work....... My Test is NOW Concluded ..

ohh the file fish has a taste for Bristle worms as well.
Cbb also took care of a few flat worm i have spotted on a mushroom colony..

You gotta live Natural cures

Peppermint in dt and dt zero aptasia. Sump wise overgrown with it sigh.
