Cool thing is, no photoshop was done on this picture. This maze is "amazing"!

It's a nice shot and you exposed it very well. Photoshop isn't a bad thing though. The word often gets used with in a negative context when folks use it to deceive. Using it to correct camera, and lighting, induced problems is a positive, not a negative.

Nearly every image can use, at the very least, a little sharpening. The digital sensor, by it's nature, softens the image during capture. You could also eliminate the blue cast from the actinics.

Don't be afraid of Photoshop. It's your friend, not your enemy. ;)

Cheers,
Doug

Yeah, I do use photoshop quite often I just liked the way this pic turned out without changing anything. This coral is awesome, I have seen a lot of brains but none like this one.

A great shot! Fantastic!

If you ever get a chance to take it again, could you try focusing on the foreground and letting it blur away to the rear? I'd love to compare the two shots to see the difference.

Thanks!

Thank you for posting that! The feeding tentacles are gorgeous. I like this one, but I think you made the right choice on locating the depth of field on the first photo.

Cheers!
