A.percula jumpers? Anemone ID

Really sad series of events in the last few days, I introduced a sebae anemone for my clowns to host and the next day the female of the pair jumped out of the tank. 2 days later and now the male jumped too. I checked my levels and nothing jumps out at me except my calcium a little low ~370 and my alk is ~10.2. Amonia was a zero as was everything else. PH was 8.4. I have 150 gallons of water with 150 lbs of rock, some live some base. The tank itself is a frag tank and really doesnt look very natural with the egg crate and all the frags on plugs. I have luminarc reflectors hanging so no need for a hood since it really is not a display. I have been dripping kalk into the sump for the entire period of time trying to get the calcium up slowly. In 5-6 days I may have dripped 3-4 gallons. I guess the real question is whether or not WC perculas are known for jumping? I thought maybe that the environment made them feel uneasy since it is not very natural

Were the clowns new, or had you just put them in a new environment?

I don't if WC percs are more or less likely to jump than other clowns, but certainly a new and unfamiliar location makes fish more likely to jump. If you have an open top tank it's always a good idea to cover it with eggcrate for a few days or so when introducing new fish.

It was attached to rock until this afternoon it decided to go free foating again. I may set up a tupperware with some substrate but it is in place of its choice of course. The clowns had been in the tank for over a week and were just fine until I added the anemone.

this was from a previous thread. Certain wc percs from my multiple first hand experiences are jumpers.

yes there are a few slight variations. The True Percula which is caught from Papua New Guinea carry a deeper orange color and have standard black markings connecting bar 1 and 2. For the True Perc caught from Solomon, their coloration is more of a yellowish shade or orange. This is the main physical differentiation, being that the black markings do not alter between locations.

The biggest difference in my experience is the manorism of the Solomon clowns vs. Papua New Guinea's. The soloman clown is a more active clown and Notorious for jumping/breaching the water. Its really interesting to watch as from what my observations have gathered, them using one of their few defensive tools. I had a pair that everyday would jump into the back of my nano cube filter area untill I designed a fence to prevent it. Although this behavior can be found in other clowns ever so often, the Solomon clowns never fail to entertain with their acrobatics. The perculas from Papua are relaxed with perfect clownfish swimming motions.

Overall I would choose the Papua New Guinea percs, not only for their awesome deep orange color, but their overall clownfish manorisms regarding swimming and anemone care.
