A round spot in yellow watchman's eye - what is it?

I noticed that my yellow watchman goby has a round spot rising out of his eye. It looks like another small eye, it is round and clear yellowish with a dark center. The fish is acting normal though.

Is this some kind of parasite? I don't know if I should do anything or if this is a disease.

Thanks for any help.

If it is flukes, is this something that must be treated promptly, as in within the next few days? I cannot post a picture until I get my camera back.

If they are not treated, do they cause the death of the fish?

you have time, but the longer you wait, the more likely it will spread. it can become lethal by attaching itself to the gills in mass numbers. i have used prazipro in the main system(mixed reef) with no issues what so ever and it cleared my fishes of flukes in about a week. be prepared for a fairly large water change at the end of the treatment. you can't run a skimmer, and when you turn it back on it will be going crazy.

it has been my experience that you don't need too. several of my friends treated thier system with my recommendations and had no issues. it is your tank, and your decision whether you use it in your system. i personally have, and will continue to, use it in my mixed reef system.

I'll get a picture of the fish when I get my camera back on saturday and post the pic, then after it is confirmed to be a fluke I'll treat the whole tank with that medication.

Fosters and smith's site says not to use prazipo if you have fan worms, which I have.

In your mixed reef, did you have fan worms?

I have the medicine coming in the mail, I guess I'll take out the worms when it gets here.

I'm also concerned about if it will kill bristleworms. I don't want those to die. The site says "ordamental worms" I guess bristleworms are not ordamental.
