I had some success with a carnation, about 5 months now and still going, so I thought I would try a flowerpot. I got this guy about a week ago, still looks strong. (bad pic)

Also have a question, do these guys sting or use any chemical warfare?

It looks like it should be opening more. It also looks like there is some green color to it, which can be a sign of bleaching. Nice looking size though. I don't know how bad they sting. I can tell you that my clam has moved up against one of mine and it looks fine.

i,ve had mine for over 2 years. it has grown 3 new heads and i may try to frag it, but i never feed it.

I was reading some research on them that may point to iron depletion as a cause of bleaching in them. Has anyone been able to find the results? I'd like to read them.

Thank you. It was an article by Sprung that I had read and this one references it and the addition of iron. Good Read.
