a slug maybe?

ok i got this thing in my tank that came with some live rock. he dont like the light and hes kinda slow.

hes got a bright purple look to him and he kinda looks like a slug except he has a purple shell. the shell is flat though its nothing like a snail or hermit. the slug looking thing is about a half inch long and the shell is about half of that.

think it might be a slug? good or bad?

a picture would help out a lot. it's too hard to say without looking at it. my guess would be an abalone or a stomatella snail .

i cant get a picture because hes only out at night and my canera really sucks.

would an abalone or a stomatella be good or bad?

i hope its not a bad thing because i have no clue where he hangs out at. i catch him out on a rock at night very rarely and hes never on the same rock. he rins from light and hides really easy because my rocks have lots of hidey holes especially for something his size.
