A study of Corals

Its amazing the photo opportunities that exists daily right under ones very nose.

My old old brain coral, one of my two oldest colonies also proved to be a willing subject.

A little peeved over it turning out that I was only shooting at Normal quality instead of Highest, well at lest I corrected that mistake.

I so do like using my brain as a subject!

And this monti of mine, it kinda looks like some kind of bizarre flowering goo monster!

Maybe it will look a bit less monstrous in daylight!

And my Protopaly's definitely warranted a second look.

As did the Pavona.

But my hermits kind of started to feel a little left out.

Now if only my Clowns and my Mandarin could stop hiding and volunteer for a little photo op.

Whaddya know, the clowns could hold somewhat still for a moment. :lol2:





And I managed to provoke a full blown feeding response from my brain for the camera.


And I just love these Zoas, from a distance they don't look like much, but up close they are simply just exploding with color.

I think my title was a poor choice of words, this should really be called "Alexraptor's Photo Gallery" or something.

I've actuallly been trying to figure it out myself, not so sure if its a Merulina though.

My camcorder actually takes really good photos.
Only real negative is one does not have the same control over ISO settings and shutter speed as on Compact or System camera.

But its strenght on the other hand is incredibly crisp pictures at very high zoom! :bounce1:
