A Terrible Month...

This was the worst month in my reef keeping life. I lost a bi-color foxface the first week. His stomach became pinced, he ate, but got skinnier and died. I lost an Indian Ocean mimic I have had with me for 2 1/2 years last week, just died. Yesterday, a solaris wrasse, with me for about 2 months just dissapeared, eating great no problems, gone! Colt leather has reduced to 1/2 its size, my crocea clam looked bad for 2 days and now dead and pipe organ almost gone.

Wow this sucks. My water parameters are good. Alk. is a bit low, some phosphates, but no big deal. I have some red slime forming on 2 rocks, but not out of control. What's going on??? Only thing I can think of I did a water change the first week of May and the water could have been the issue, but nothing traceable. Any ideas
???

When solving a puzzle, my own rule is "What's Unusual?" What happened that hasn't happened for 2 years?
Start by suspecting your testing instruments. Get the lfs to recalibrate.
Suspect your incoming water and test tds.
Run carbon, run polyfilter: that's good for anything that got in.
Check for leaking voltage.
Have you had any child guests or a party?

The water change. Thats about it from what I can think of. I will try running carbon and phosphate remover. The only other thing diff. I cleaned my tunze and now its working as if brand new.

lfs water is a salt mix or ocean water
i know a few people that lost all there fish in a couple hrs from a water change from the ocean last dec i think it was
just a thought
